The franchise talked about cutting printing costs in the US during the National Consumer Protection Week.
According to Cartridge World, printer ink “costs more per gallon than human blood” or even fuel and champagne, and therefore it is important to help consumers make informed decisions on what to spend their money on when it comes to printing. In a campaign that will run from 5 to 11 March, and the franchise will be advising US citizens on which brands of cartridges and printers are the best value, as well as offering solutions for business and home users.
Cartridge World suggests that consumers need to take specialist advice on which printer is right for them, and as an example said that “colour inkjet printers are not designed for printing hundreds of black-and-white pages”, and that those requiring “high volume type printing” would be better to buy a mono laser printer and “high yield toner cartridges”, which would double the printing output and save almost half the expenditure.
The franchise also noted that as much as 30 percent can be saved on printer cartridges if consumers buy third-party instead, and that local printer business often “offer easy online automated ordering, printer installations and repair options and services”. Other tips were to change the colour settings to mono, as this is most commonly used, and then change back to colour when it’s needed.
Mark Pinner, CEO of Cartridge World North America, said: “With more than 20 years of industry experience, Cartridge World fully understands both business and consumer frustrations that are a result of unsatisfactory service and high printing costs. We view our customer’s needs as a catalyst to providing each of them with not only a great value but consistent, premium print quality, defect-free performance and at a 20-to-30 percent cost saving.”
Cartridge World launched a Global Procurement Centre in China (https://www.therecycler.com/posts/cartridge-world-launches-global-quality-initiative/) that “ensures superior, cost-effective products for the end user”, and is focused on “selling high-efficiency printers that use high-yield printer cartridges, and providing bundled printing services and office printing solutions for business customers”.
