The OEM has launched the new “doubled-sided printing” machines in the market.
Engineering News reported on the two new A3 duplex printers in the Ink Tank System (ITS) technology range, adding that the printers now offer “even more convenience for businesses”. The two new models include the L605, “aimed at the small and home office market” and the OEM’s “first three-in-one printer to include” duplexing, as well as the L1455, the “first four-in-one to offer both A3 doubled-sided printing and A3 scanning”.
The “ultra-high-capacity ink tank” is “designed for high-volume printing” and said to allow “users to do away with cartridges”, with both printers including “two sets of high-volume ink bottles”. The L1455 can print up to 10,500 pages and the L605 up to 11,000 pages “from the inks included in the box”, and the site adds that the machines “consequently […] provide an extremely low cost per page and are capable of far more printing between refills”.
The duplex feature allows users to cut “paper usage in half” and “minimise running costs”, adding “further value-for-money to the range” on top of the ITS technology “saving users up to 90 percent on the cost of printing”. Engineering News added in turn that users “can also easily work out how much” they’re saving “in operational and maintenance costs” using the OEM’s ITS Savings Calculator platform.
The platform “examines both the upfront and running costs related to printer ink”, in turn “helping people make informed purchasing decisions”. Other features of the printers include that they are “easy to operate, reliable and capable of producing high-quality prints” with the OEM’s “durable and reliable” Micro Piezo technology. The two devices use dye ink for colour and pigment ink for black for “quick-drying, smudge-free prints”, with the ink tank “fully integrated into the printer”.
Finally, both printers “come with a one year of 50,000-page manufacturer warranty”, with both available now from retail stores or Epson Authorised Reseller partners for R6,410 ($491.70/€465.98) and R16,100 ($1,235/€1,170) for the L605 and L1455 respectively.
