The inkjet cartridge refill company has signed a deal with Saturn, an electronics retail chain.
In a press release RIS said that Saturn is now offering its inkjet cartridge refill service, and that this was because of “strong sales growth from last year’s initial offering at the Saturn location in Wuppertal, Germany”. The deal has now expanded to another German store in Hilden, and customers can have their cartridges refilled by staff who use the RIS InkCenter machine to refill them while the customer is shopping.
Vincent Hormovitis, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at RIS, said: “We at RIS are thrilled to partner on a second location with Saturn. Their management team is passionate about customers receiving exceptional value every time they walk through their doors. As the prices of branded inkjet cartridges are continuously increasing, our refill service value proposition becomes even more compelling.
“We are confident that ink cartridge refilling will serve Saturn customers extremely well and will continue to be introduced at other locations.” The retailer previously announced deals to host its machines in shops across France and Romania earlier this year.
Lars Biermann, Managing Director of Saturn Wuppertal, commented: “We need to have a strong service department to be able to succeed as an electronics store. We are very satisfied with how well the RIS InkCenter combines our standard of quality with this service idea. Refill quality and price is super – our customers love it!”
David Lenny, CEO of RIS, added: “Value for money and product quality are very important for consumers. The RIS-powered ink refill solution delivers that quality, much more affordably – and is good for the environment. This opportunity to expand our footprint in Europe will be very complementary to the array of services and high level of satisfaction that Saturn’s customers have come to expect.”
