The toner manufacturer has had its HP Inc toner powders certified by the Nordic Swan ecolabelling certification, with “key colour” toners certified including the H59 and H75.
The company announced that its H59 toner – to be used in the HP Inc M252 and M277 – and the H75 toner – for use in the HP HP Inc M553, M552 and M577 colour printers – have met the standards and requirements to be certified by the Nordic Ecolabel standard 5.2. TUV Rheinland LGA Products tested the toner powder, putting it through “stringent” tests to meet the requirements for the certification and “according to criteria 008, version 5.2”.
James Chen, Vice General Manager of Hubei Dinglong, commented: “This approval demonstrates our raw material selection and manufacturing process is meeting the requirements of the Industry. We recognise the importance in the European market to attain these standards.”
Ian Copsey, General Manager for Europe, said: “I am pleased that we have added another two products to our Nordic Ecolabel 5.2 approval. These come in addition to the H52 and H71 products approved in 2015. The industry’s concerns over TVOC, heavy metals and contaminants are real, and I am pleased we demonstrate our compliance.
“The rigours of many government, education [and] local authority tenders now require these environmental standards to be met for vendor selection, [and] it is reassuring we can support our customers in this process.”
