A class action lawsuit has been filed against a cartridge business in the US for allegedly sending junk faxes.
Northern California Record reported that Vahe Messerlian filed the complaint on behalf of others in the same situation with the US District Court of California, against The Toner Doctor and ‘Does’ one through 10, citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act”. The faxes were allegedly sent to solicit for business, and the plaintiff said that he has never been a customer of the defendant.
The plaintiff also “alleges that beginning in March 2015, he suffered damages from receiving several unwanted faxes from the defendant”, and holds The Toner Doctor and ‘Does’ one through 10 “responsible”, as consent had not been given for the defendant to send the faxes.
Todd M. Friedman, of the Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills, is representing the plaintiff, who has requested trial by jury and is seeking $500 (€469) in legal damages and $1,500 (€1,407) as “treble damages and any other relief as the court deems just”.
