The MPS and software provider has updated its enterprise resource planning (ERP) offering.
In a press release, the company stated that version 17.1 of the e-automate software includes “new customer management solutions [that] allow for improved sales and contact management”, and that the software is the “premier solution for office technology dealers and field service providers, delivering cloud-based ERP software to more than 1,500 dealers around the world”.
The updated release is the “second in a series of updates” focusing on customer relationship management (CRM), as well as “specific areas of the software”, and ECi added that “arranging software releases to concentrate on an individual area of functionality gives ECi the ability to provide more in-depth, high-quality solutions”.
The company noted that the “primary enhancements in this release are the addition of item usage calculations and item yield warnings on sales transactions”, which are both “designed to help improve supplies management”, while the update also “strengthens contact management through the addition of duplicate contact warnings and identifications, inactive contact history and multiple job titles for a single contact”.
An extra additional feature includes “upgraded options to show or hide items on sales transactions, picking lists and packing lists”, which will “provide more flexibility and efficiency for customer invoicing and shipment processing”.
Laryssa Alexander, President of ECi’s Field and IT Service Division, commented that “giving our customers the tools they need to increase sales and boost their business processes is key to e-automate’s development”, explaining the release “tightens the integrations with Naverisk RMM software, HP Smart Device Services, and Exactor sales tax software”. She added that “we are always seeking new opportunities to provide value and integrations like these help to reduce manual effort, refine workflow, and increase competitiveness”.
Marty Bleck, National Sales Director and System Administrator for General Communications, stated: “The e-automate 17.1 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) release continues to raise the bar not only in reliability but also with features. With improvements in duplicate contacts, job title updates and AR console upgrades, the e-automate 17.1 CRM release increases the efficiency of all users, allowing them to get more done in less time.
“Being able to participate in the 17.1 CRM beta program has allowed me and other e-automate beta participants to have a firsthand impact on creating a stable release for all users. The communication between the beta participants and the ECi staff has made this a smooth process.”
