Which printers meet business needs and how should users select them.
The choice between laser and inkjet printers or whether to buy single devices or MFPs is often difficult for consumers but Cartridge World said that “a small investment could end up costing you in the long run if you don’t match your unique needs to the printers features and capabilities”.
Businesses “buy or lease a printer once every 2-3 years” which is a challenge when it comes to staying up to date with the latest technology but the article said that the right choice of printer can make life easier.
For home use or small businesses the article claims that inkjet printers are the best value in that they are affordable and small although they print at slower speeds and may have lower page yields which require buying more cartridges.
For bigger print volume laser printers are a better choice and although they may be initially more expensive they do produce more ppm and have a better page yield and are better for high resolution colour images.
For the ultimate business printer an MFP should be considered as the features allow different sized paper and the benefit is that everything is contained in one device and although they are more costly initially the alternative of buying a separate copier, scanner, fax and printer would be more so.
There are many MFPs to chose from so it is best for the buyer to do some research and see which one would be suitable for them and print requirements as well as how much toner cartridges are going to cost but Cartridge World are happy to advise.
