DCI wins award

The company was named Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year.

DCI made the announcement on Linkedin and insidermedia also reported on the event. Made in the Midlands Awards is an annual event that recognises manufacturers throughout the Midlands region of the UK and honours those who show the most ambition and ingenuity.

DCI is based in Boston, UK, and is one of Europe’s leading remanufacturers of office imaging printer cartridges. The company prides itself on a zero landfill policy, recover all materials in-house, including used toner powder, wood and metal. This years event was held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole NEC on 18 May and Ben Thompson a BBC celebrity hosted the evening where DCI were named Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year for their “ethos of sustainability right through the business, embracing a robust CSR policy and employee engagement”.

Marketing Manager, Cassandra Brennan, Social Media Executive, Calum Chinchen and Business Development Manager, Donna Savidge attended the awards event on behalf of the company and Savidge commented: “We are delighted to win such a prestigious award and would like to thank Insider Media and all those involved in the awards for choosing us. We are continuously striving to satisfy environmental concerns and pride ourselves on our sustainability, so being recognised means a great deal to everyone here at DCI. It was our first time attending the awards, and we can’t speak highly enough of how impressive the evening was – we will certainly be returning in the future.”

DCI will now go through to the finals, Made in the UK to be held 22 June in Liverpool, UK.
