The OEM has signed Memphis Communication Corporation (MCC) and Standard Business Systems (SBS) in a channel partnership.

A press release announced that Xerox signed the companies on the strength of their broad technology portfolio and custom apps support in a strategy to increase its reach in the SMB market.

The two companies are the most recent to join the Xerox channel partner programme in which they will sell “the company’s comprehensive and connected office hardware and managed print services portfolio” as part of Xerox’s plan to “increase its multi dealer base in the US by 30 percent in 2017”.

Darren Cassidy, President US Channels Unit, North America Operations, Xerox, commented: “Adding leading multi-brand office equipment dealers and other types of channel partners is core to our strategy to increase our share of the lucrative and growing SMB market—as 75 percent of office technology sales are made through indirect channels.”

Both companies were attracted to the channel partnership because of Xerox’s custom apps prospects and the company’s “extended sales support”.

Shane Berry, Co-Chairman, MCC, said: “We’re looking forward to the ability to build custom apps that address workflow issues in healthcare and finance as well as those focused on the distribution industry in Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.”

Tony Marcia, Vice President, Sales, SBS, commented: “We now have a hand in every aspect of the customer experience. Xerox’s support, our customers are being 100 percent taken care of by SBS.”
