The Dubai government, Economic Department, has awarded GIT an A rating.
The Dubai SME Rating Framework is for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the region and is the first rating system for this sector. The new system rates the business based on criteria of financial and non-financial performance.
The UAE has a goal of “building a sustainable and diversified economy” and the Framework contributes to this as well as playing a key role in achieving the goals of Dubai Plan 2021 as the SMBs contribute to the GDP and are important to the economy. The Dubai Plan focuses on encouraging innovative ideas and boosting productivity of SMBs which in turn give people career opportunities.
The Framework enables governmental support to the rated SMBs “through developing a unique strategic partnership between the private and private sector” resulting in benefits to SMBs that will aid efficiency, accelerate growth and help them to thrive globally.
