The company announced the acquisition of Baxter Confidential Limited and the appointment of a new Non-Executive Director.
Restore plc, the UK office services provider, acquired Baxter Confidential Limited, a secure shredding and archiving business based in Winchester, Hampshire.
For the 12 months ended 30 April 2017, Baxter’s secure shredding and archiving activities generated revenues of £0.8 million (€0.88 million). The acquisition was funded from Restore’s existing bank facilities.
Charles Skinner, Chief Executive of Restore, commented: “The addition of Baxter Confidential and its site in Winchester broadens Restore Datashred’s customer base in Southern England and strengthens our branch network. It will also provide us with further economies of scale and extend our position as the UK’s second largest provider of secure shredding services.”
Also announced was that Martin Towers has been appointed Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 September 2017.
Martin is currently Senior Independent Director of RPC Group plc, the international plastic products design and engineering company for both packaging and non-packaging markets, and Non-Executive Chairman of Tyman plc, the international supplier of engineered components to the door and window industry, and Norcros plc, the supplier of branded showers, taps, bathroom accessories, tiles and adhesives.
Martin was Group Finance Director of Kelda Group plc from 2003 until 2008 and was previously Group Finance Director of McCarthy & Stone plc, The Spring Ram Corporation plc and Allied Textile Companies plc. Martin served as Chief Executive of Spice plc from 2009 until its sale to Cinven in 2010 and was Non-Executive Director of Homestyle Group plc from 2004 to 2006 and KCOM Group plc from 2009 to 2015.
