At the World Partner Forum, HP introduced a series of new solutions designed to revitalise the printing industry

HP has kick-started its latest edition of HP Reinvent: World Partner Forum in Chicago by unveiling a variety of newly developed tools and solutions which have been “designed to take the friction out of printing for greater cyber-resilience, collaboration and mobility.” These latest innovations, HP believes, will help its partners “safeguard their print environment, reshape how businesses print, and transform servicing.”

HP Connection Inspector

The HP Connection Inspector is a unique security technology that inspects outbound network connections, which typically fall prey to malware, detects if there is any suspicious activity and, if any is discovered, triggers a reboot that will “initiate HP Sure Start self-healing procedures, all without IT intervention.”

HP Roam

HP Roam is the company’s latest universal business printing solution that allows mobile professionals to print anytime and anywhere, using any device, and then retrieve their prints from a growing number of print locations, or at home and at public sites. Its key features include a personal print queue, allowing users to add and store jobs in the cloud, as well as auto-discovery, and secure release via authentication.

HP Solutions Hub

The company’s new HP Solutions Hub, which will become available in spring 2018, “includes connectors and templates that make it easy to turn HP multifunction printers into custom work environments” and includes a software development kit with an open platform architecture “designed to scale and customise to workflows in vastly different business environments”.

Smart Device Services (SDS) 2.0

HP has also released its latest generation of Smart Device Services 2.0, cloud tools and device-based sensing capabilities which bring consumers a variety of benefits, not limited to enhanced diagnostics, fleet optimisation and a device health alert. These devices will also be available in spring 2018.

Updated line of secure A3 business printers and scanners

Last but not least, HP unveiled a range of new workflow scanners, updated micro home and small-business printers, and an expanded A3 portfolio with enhanced security features.

Commenting on these latest innovations from the company, Enrique Lores, President, Imaging and Printing at HP Inc., stated: “HP is empowering our partners to deliver amazing experiences for customers by reinventing printing for an on-demand world.” He continued, “As the cyber landscape evolves and the path of work transforms, we will drive partner success with innovative new services and solutions for printing easily and securely, enabling increased services and revenue opportunities.”
