The new all-in-one MFC-J775DW printer is the latest in the company’s INKvestment series of printers, designed to help consumers cut costs.
Last year, as Digital Trends relates, Brother released a new INKvestment line of printers that were “designed to reduce the cost of printing both black-and-white and colour pages through high-yield cartridges and duplex (two sided) printing”.
Now the office technology manufacturer has released the latest model in this series, the all-in-one MFC-J775DW which “focuses on providing simple, reliable printing without costing you an arm and a leg.”
This entry-level printer is ideal for use in the home office setting, offering consumers an “all-in-one solution that can print, scan, copy, and fax documents”. It can connect to cloud drive services, such as Google Drive and Evernote, and, using WiFi or USB, can connect to laptops, desktops, tablets and smart phones. You can also print documents on this printer via a mobile device, using Morris, Google Cloud Print, Brother’s iPrint&Scan functionality and Wi-Fi Direct.
Brother’s new printer can be bought online exclusively at Staples and will be available in-store by November. Consumers can opt for a standard printer package “which comes with a single set of ink retails” and is priced at $150, or opt for the INKvestment package, which “comes with three sets of ink cartridges”, supposedly enough for two years’ worth of printing. This package is priced at $250 (€211).
