Google’s Home smart-speaker line can be used to print, with certain requirements, as one of the device’s partner products is HP Print.

Chrome Unboxed writer Gabriel Brangers has revealed his discovery that Google Home can be used to print, to a certain extent, as HP Print appears on a recently published list of partner products that work with the Google device.

However, as Brangers describes, the “functionality here is somewhat limited” and there are also a “couple of requirements” you have to fulfil before you can try printing. These include, of course, owning a Google Home, as well as having an Internet connection, and having an HP printer which supports printing using the HP Print App for Android or iOS.

Branger gives instructions for setting up Google Home to print, but warns that “this feature has a small number of preset capabilities”, but although “the list is somewhat short”, Google Home’s printing options “can be useful as well as entertaining.”
