The Japanese-based corporation revealed last week that two of its employees had won awards at Worldskills Abu Dhabi 2017.
This was the 44th Worldskills Competition, and was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from October 14-19 2017. The competition is held once every two years, and promotes “the development, advancement, and recognition of vocational skills in member countries”.
It also promotes “international exchange and friendship among young people engaged in skilled vocations.”
Epson proudly revealed that its two employees, Hayato Miyasaka and Azusa Sano, represented the corporation at the competition this year after winning gold at the National Skills Competition held in Yamagata, Japan in 2016.
Miyasaka won the Bronze medal for plastic die engineering and Sano won the Medallion of Excellence for web design and development.
This is the 8th time Epson has sent a representative to the Worldskills Competition.
