VOW launches workplace recycling scheme

Nov 7, 2017

In response to reseller feedback, VOW has now rolled out a new workplace recycling service.

Dealer Support reports that VOW, a business products and facilities supplies wholesaler, “has broadened its offering by teaming up with national market-leading specialists GreensafeIT, “highly accredited asset disposers.”

This manoeuvre on the part of VOW means that “resellers can now offer end-users professional, safe, responsible removal, recycling and disposal of potentially hazardous waste”, including electrical and electronic equipment. This will be “accompanied by a fully approved audit trail for added customer security.”

The new recycling service will be compliant with “all law and regulation”, will ensure the use of “correct documentation”, and “will meet the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation” which will be enforced in 2018.

As well as operating battery collections and offering “next day business deliveries and collection” of fluorescent lamps, “with treatment being available for all chemistries”, GreensafeIT also provides an “electronic or electrical equipment recycling service” which “covers numerous items”. These include printers, computers and TVs.

VOW managing director Adrian Butler explained: “It’s a key element of our strategy that we work with resellers to enhance their sales and incomes wherever we can.”
