Earlier this year the OEM’s Malaysian subsidiary unveiled a range of new printers, including 2 inkjet MFPs and 5 ink tank printers.

The Star reported on the launch of these new Epson printers, which include the Workforce Enterprise WF-C20590, a “new ultrafast enterprise-grade printer” capable of printing “up to 100 pages per minute (ppm).” This speed is for both colour and monochrome, as well as single and double-sided printing and “is made possible” thanks to Epson’s PrecisionCore linehead technology. The printer is targeted at “the healthcare, manufacturing and other industries that are looking to move towards environmentally-friendly solutions.”

Epson Malaysia Sales and Marketing Product Manager, Ho Kean Chew, revealed that “the inkjet technology used by Epson leads to green advantages such as lower power consumption, less heat generated, less maintenance and fewer replacement parts”.

“The printer increases productivity and at the same time provides energy savings of up to 75% compared to an average laser printer,” he said.

It also features “ultra-high capacity ink cartridges” which can print up to 100, 000 pages in black and 50, 00 pages “for each colour cartridge” and has “fewer moving parts” as well as being customisable.

Epson Malaysia also unveiled the WorkForce Pro WF-C869 multifunction A3 printer, for use in offices “which require heavy printing.” This device has a unique “replaceable ink pack system” to offer more flexibility and reduce wastage.

A standard pack has a capacity of 22, 500 pages (black) and 22, 000 (colour) while a large pack has a capacity of 86, 000 (black) and 84, 000 (colour).

The other printer models launched by Epson Malaysia consisted of the Epson L series printers – the L4150, L4160, L6160, L6170 and L6190. All printers feature WiFi and WiFi Direct.
