The OEM’s Middle East division has announced that it will be expanding its partner programme and eServices in Saudi Arabia to help drive growth and innovation.
In addition, Canon Middle East has announced a strategic partnership with Alkhorayef Printing Solutions (APS), part of the Alkhorayef Group, which is one of the biggest names in the country’s printing market.
The OEM made its announcements at a partner event held at the Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya, which was attended by 28 resellers. During the event, Canon also showcased the capabilities of its large-format printers to deliver high quality graphics and CAD/GIS applications.
Canon’s new partner programme ties in with Saudi Arabia’s 2030 goal to improve “the nation’s competitiveness” as well as developing local businesses, and aims to help resellers and partners “unlock additional value and enhance competencies and business benefits.” Additionally, the OEM’s eService programme, the first of its kind in the region, provides partners with “the opportunity and flexibility to sell, lease, or rent a large-format printer to an end-user”. It also introduces the concept of Printer-as-a-Service to Saudi Arabia.
The strategic collaboration with the Alkhorayef Group will enable Canon to extend the reach of its brand, its products, its solutions and its services in Saudi Arabia, and will also allow Canon to “streamline the delivery of its innovative, technology-led solutions” to meet the printing and imaging requirements of Saudi Arabian consumers.
Speaking about the event, Shadi Bakhour, Business Unit Director, B2B said, “Driven by the Saudi Vision 2030, businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are increasingly looking to adapt, evolve, and seize new opportunities. Canon has always been committed to developing our channel ecosystem in the Kingdom and partner with them at every stage of their need.”
“With the widest portfolio of printers in the industry and our unique heritage in imaging technology, we look forward to helping businesses in the Kingdom unleash the power of print and realize their full potential through our trusted ecosystem of partners such as APS. Our unique eServices programme highlights our collaborative approach with our partners to ultimately exceed customer expectations,” he continued.
Commenting on the partnership, Bandar Ibrahim Allhorayef, president of Alkhorayef Printing Solutions said, “We are excited to partner with Canon Middle East and broaden our print solutions portfolio. By bringing together our experience and reach, and Canon’s innovative portfolio of products, we are geared for success in delivering high-quality products and solutions for the advanced customers in the Kingdom.”
