The Overath-based company continues its inroads into the digital office market with this latest purchase.
Office supply company Soennecken eG has announced the acquisition of German IT solutions network Nordanex Systemverbund, to be completed on 1st January 2018.
The purchase is the latest step in Soennecken’s investment in the ‘Digital Office’ market, and it is planning to utilise Nordanex’s IT expertise to aid its mid-term expansion into the complete supply of offices for its office supply trader network. Through the acquisition, Soennecken and its associated members will benefit from direct insight into the growth of IT system houses.
Bremerhaven-based Nordanex currently has approximately 270 system partners across Germany. Its founder, Ralph Warmbold, who will remain at the head of the company after the takeover, said: “I am pleased that, with this solution, we can ensure a high level of continuity in the interest of the Nordanex partners, and a continuation of our successful growth path.”
“IT solutions are already a meaningful and, in future, necessary supplement to the esatablished markets of our Soennecken member companies,” said Dr. Ing. Benedict Erdmann, Soennecken’s board spokesman, who described the takeover as “a strategic, very long-term investment.”
Erdmann also spoke of the opportunities to jointly focus on synergy and mutual development of services in the medium term: “Interlinking the services offered by both companies is what we see as the requirement of our customers for the digital office world. We want to develop the possibilities of a medium-term strategic cooperation between Nordanex, Soennecken members, and Soennecken eG together with our members.”
