Tangent Office Resources wins national award

Dec 14, 2017

The Orpington-based family-run office supplies firm has scooped a prestigious national accolade for Dealer Excellence at the 2017 BOSS Awards.

The award, for Dealer Excellence in the under £5 million turnover category, was announced in front of a 400-strong crowd at the 2017 BOSS Awards at the Tower Guoman Hotel in central London, organised by industry body the BOSS Federation.

Tangent fought off stiff competition from other office supplies dealerships throughout the UK to bring home the award. Judges were impressed with their customer service focus, local community involvement, innovation and their robust disaster recovery plan, following a devastating fire at their Orpington premises three years ago.

This is Tangent’s second national award of the year, following their success at their stationer dealer group Integra’s Member of the Year Awards earlier this year. Tangent was also awarded Regional Family Business of the Year in the FSB/Worldpay Awards.

Accepting the award, Tangent MD Chandra Sharma said: “We are thrilled to have received this prestigious award from the BOSS Federation. This is the second national award that we have received this year. Awards such as these are very important for small businesses such as ourselves as, hopefully, they give us credibility and recognition. This is extremely important when competing against the larger companies and contract stationers.”

Tangent Office Resources was founded in Orpington in 2005 and offers an extensive range of office supplies, furniture and printing services to businesses across England. They have recently extended their range to include personalised workwear, having invested in state of the art embroidery and vinyl printing machines. They offer a quick, personalised service with no minimum order and next day delivery

The company will be exhibiting at the Start Up 2018 Business Expo on Thursday 18 January 2018 at the new Desk Team building in Elmers End, Beckenham. The event sees 20 handpicked companies showcasing the help available to people thinking of starting their own business or starting over an existing company.
