The OEM has been awarded for its work at the seventh annual Best in Biz Awards.

Ricoh has been declared a Gold winner at the Best in Biz Awards, in the Most Environmentally Responsible Company of the Year category. The honour rewards the OEM’s efforts towards sustainability, such as its commitment to using at least 30 percent renewable energy by the year 2030, and 100 percent by 2050.

“Environmental sustainability is a major focus for us at Ricoh, so every benchmark, every milestone, every honour is incredibly encouraging,” said Glenn Laverty, Senior Vice President of Ricoh Americas Marketing and President & CEO of Ricoh Canada. “This particular recognition reinforces that our commitment to sustainability is producing real, noticeable results.”

“At Ricoh, it is important for us to not only uphold exceptional corporate social responsibility ideals but to also demonstrate to our customers how we can all work smarter with eco-friendly products and sustainability know-how,” he added. “This is a global focus for us as we continue to empower digital workplaces within our own organization and around the world.”

The annual Best in Biz Awards are judged by a range of prominent editors and reports from a variety of North American top-tier publications, and are awarded to a broad spectrum of companies, from local start-ups to global brands. In 2017, prizes were awarded in 65 categories, to a selection made from over 650 entrants. The judging panel included representatives from publications including Forbes, AdWeek, Associated Press, Business News Daily, and Yahoo Tech. A full list of winners is available here.
