An Omaha-based construction firm is to buy the OEM’s Kansas campus.
Lexmark International is to sell off its property at Renner Boulevard in Lenexa, Kansas, to Omaha-based construction and engineering firm Kiewit Corporation. The Kansas City Star reports that Kiewit is currently based just under a mile away from Lexmark’s grounds, but is planning to move to the Lexmark campus as it has outgrown the space it currently leases.
The Lexmark buildings, where Kiewit plans to consolidate its local operations, were originally built for Perceptive Software, which was acquired by the OEM in January of 2013.
The deal has not yet closed, and is subject to a vote by Lenexa City Council, owing to the property’s location in a tax increment financing district.
