The OEM’s new A3 multifunction printers have been presented with the Good Design Award.
Kyocera Document Solutions Europe’s new A3 MFPs have won the Japan Institute for Design Promotion’s Good Design Award 2017. The ECOSYS M8130cidn and ECOSYS M4132idn were recognised for their appearance and detailing, but also their overall functionality and ease of maintenance. This is partly achieved through cloud-based technology, through which service cycles are optimised in order to prevent device downtime.
The two MFPs are compatible with Wi-Fi Direct and NFC, as standard, which Kyocera state ensures flexible connectivity. The products are also able to be integrated with enterprise IT systems, enhancing document workflow and content services platforms.
The OEM boasts that the MFPs “look sleek from any angle” and claim their compact design allows them to be installed in various positions in the office, whether next to a desk, against a wall or in the centre of the room. The company described the JDP’s accolade as “an endorsement of Kyocera’s approach to developing products with close attention not only to performance, but also to design and usability.”
