BBC radio 4 challenges HP

BBC radio 4 today challenged HP over its advertising claiming that 1 in 7 remanufactured cartridges fail.

 
The “You and Yours” consumer affairs programme looked into the cost of printer cartridges and examined the pros and cons of using remanufactured cartridges.

In the interview, which opened the programme, Keith Moss of UKCRA spoke on behalf on the remanufacturing community.
Andy Forsythe, Head of supplies for HP in the UK gave his side of the argument and faced tough questions from the BBC interviewer. The BBC asked why HP is using the QualityLogic figures which are now two years old, and quoted Tesco as saying “the data used in this advert is obsolete, it is based on a product we no longer sell”.
