Prince Charles presents award to Redeem

Jun 15, 2007

Redeem plc added to their display cabinet recently when they were awarded four Business in the Community Big Tick Standard
of Excellence awards by HRH The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay.  The prestigious awards recognise the company’s achievements in eco-efficiency and marketplace innovation and their positive impact on society and the environment.

Redeem is heavily committed to corporate social responsibility and its innovative Recycling Appeals have raised over £2.6 million for the charities and deserving causes through the recovery, reuse and recycling of used printer cartridges and mobile phones. The programmes also benefit the environment by diverting thousands of tonnes of unnecessary waste from landfill, preserving precious natural resources and reducing carbon emissions.

His Royal Highness praised Redeem’s efforts in a speech he gave at the event.  Chief Executive Jamie Rae is delighted with the company’s win:

“These awards are testament to our commitment to corporate social responsibility and also to the hard work and dedication of our staff and partners. As an innovative and industry leading company, we stand as an example that doing good makes good business sense.”
