Samsung joins the ISC

The Imaging Supplies Coalition for International Intellectual Property Protection (ISC) announced that Samsung Electronics America Inc. has joined the Coalition effective July 1, 2007.

Allen Westerfield, President of the Coalition said, “The Members and Board of Directors of the ISC are both pleased and proud to welcome Samsung as a member in the Imaging Supplies Coalition. As a leader in our industry, Samsung will join the other ISC’s member companies as we continue to make progress in the battle against counterfeiting and fraud in the Imaging Supplies Industry.”

John McIntyre, Sustainability Manager, Samsung Electronics America, said “Samsung has a growing awareness of the harm counterfeiting activity can have on our customers and distributors as well as to our brand’s credibility. Each of the ISC’s member companies has broad experience in the development of protection strategies and protecting their companies’ brand from illegal activity. We look forward to working with the ISC to protect our customers and resellers.”

The Imaging Supplies Coalition for International Intellectual Property Protection, Inc. is a non-profit association of imaging supplies Original Equipment Manufacturers. Coalition members are Brother International Corporation, Canon U.S.A., Inc, Epson America Inc., Lexmark International, Inc., Oki Data Corporation, Samsung Electronics America, Inc., Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. and Xerox Corporation.
