The launch of ReBrasil Expo 2009 took place on February 6th in São Paulo. ReBrasil Expo 2009 will take place on 16th and 17th June 2009 at the Centro de Convenções Frei Caneca, Sao Paulo, Brazil
The launch event included a lecture presented by Luis Nassif (journalist and economist) about the industry and its perspectives towards the world economic crisis, followed by dinner.
According to Nassif, the remanufacturing industry is one of the few that will not be badly affected by the world economic crisis. Nassif also added that there is no magic formula for passing through this crisis unharmed, however, organization and recognition of the aftermarket will allow the remanufacturing industry to compete equally with the big players. Nassif finished by advising the industry to take urgent action on the following in order to improve the industry’s credibilty:
- statistics with concrete numbers showing the growth of the industry
- quality certification
ReBrasil Expo is organized by the ReBrasil – Development and Research Institute for responsible use of consumables, with the support of ABRECI (Brazilian Cartridges Remanufacturers Association) and promoted by Linha Aberta Promotional Marketing.
