Two thirds of booths at Remax AP 2009 sold

Mar 19, 2009

Remax Asia Pacific 2009 is still six months away but the show’s organisers report that 2/3 of the booths have been sold already. With 180 exhibitors confirmed, the sold-out booth area has already exceeded the overall exhibition area of Remax AP 2008 by a large portion.

With the global economic slow-down, the export-oriented printer consumables industry is facing the threat of reduced demand. However, booth-booking for Remax AP 2009 has not been affected. Some exhibitors have even increased the size of their booths. Compared to 2008, Ninestar, Skyhorse and Skywell have increased the size of their booths by more than 50%, while Anno has increased by 200%.

“The increase in booth area indicates exhibitors’ recognition, trust and confidence in Remax AP 2009” said Tony Lee, Managing Director of Recycler Publishing & Events (China) Ltd. In June 2007, Remax AP was moved to Zhuhai, attended by 113 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions and 3500 professional visitors from 48 countries and regions. In June 2008, Remax AP witnessed a 77% increase in the number of exhibitors to 200 and a 43% increase in the number of visitors to 5,000.

This year Remax AP 2009 has been chosen at a convenient time of year and will be in a larger and better-equipped venue to hold the show. There has also been more investment in marketing for the show.

Remax AP 2009 will take place from October 14 to 16, 2009. Other events taking place in the region in the same week are expected to bring more people to the show. China Sourcing Fair is on October 12 -15, Hong Kong Electronics Fair is on October 13-16, Canton Fair is on October 15-19 and China Hi-tech Fair is on October 12-17. This arrangement is designed to be convenient for international buyers with various needs, who can visit several shows in one week.

Remax AP is also planned for October to avoid the holiday seasons in Europe, the US, South America and Asia, especially Christmas. This will leave enough time for purchasers to confirm samples, price and contract items after they come back from the show and increase the prospect of order-making.

Remax AP 2009 will be held in a larger and better-equipped exhibition hall – The Zhuhai Air Show Center. As the Air Show event is held every two years, the Air Show Center is maintained in good condition, boasting a height of 12m and an area of 19,600?. This new hall can not only accommodate more exhibitors and allow them to enlarge their booth areas, but also help the flow of visitors in the exhibition hall. In addition, there will be more areas for rest and dining. The Air Show Center is adjacent to Zhuhai airport, so it will be easily accessible for visitors arriving by air.

The show will be promoted at five overseas industrial trade shows and will be advertised in Recycler Trade Magazine, Imaging Spectrum Magazine, Recycler China Trade Magazine and in other media in China and abroad.

The Recycler China team is working hard to prepare an excellent show and attract the best quality visitors and buyers.
