XPS has a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As of 9th April, Joep van Thiel is appointed in the position of CEO.
Subsequently, Scott Odom has stepped aside from the position of CEO and returns to his original role as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In his new role, Scott oversees the global sales and marketing and is particularly committed to develop the markets of USA, Latin America, Australia, India, China and SEA.
Mr. van Thiel has a longstanding relationship with the industry. In the early nineties he was responsible for setting up the European infrastructure for cartridge remanufacturing at Rank Xerox. Later he became the co-founder of XPS and from 2001 until recently he was the Chairman of the XPS Supervisory Board.
Joep also has working experience at Philips Lighting (Product Development); AT Kearney (Consulting); Orange/Dutchtone (Purchasing and Logistics); Marblehead Management (Consulting), and Avandis Bottling (General Manager).
Scott was originally hired in August 2007 by Jan van der Steen, founder of XPS, to further develop XPS’s market penetration into new areas. When Mr. van der Steen suddenly and unexpectedly died in October 2007, Scott was called upon and stepped up to manage XPS temporarily through difficult and challenging times. Today, XPS has overcome these challenges and is now entering a new phase with a solid framework to take XPS into the future.
“We experienced a very rapid growth in 2008 and I enjoyed my time at the helm of XPS, but I am looking forward to moving back into a market development role within the company with new opportunities and challenges”, Scott said.
“We thank Scott for his efforts and wish him success in his new role”, Mr. Van Thiel added.
