What remanufacturers can do to mark 40th Earth Day

Mar 18, 2010

This is the perfect opportunity for remanufacturers to promote their company and explain how important this industry is for the environment.

And Cartridge World has done just that.  It says it is reminding everyone that “saving money and helping the environment is easy when it comes to reusing printer cartridges”.

Steven Yeffa, President of Cartridge World Americas, said: “Recycling programs for cans, bottles and papers are mainstream, but few realize the additional impact they can make by reusing and refilling printer cartridges.”

The Earth Day Network will be holding The Climate Rally in Washington, DC on April 25. It hopes to get the White House to pass legislation on reducing America’s dependence on foreign oil, a campaign running since the start of Earth Day.

“The US government is yet to produce legislation that will stem green house gasses, reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil and power the development of a strong green economy,” said Kathleen Rogers, President of the Earth Day Network.

Large auctioning house Christie’s is also joining in by holding a special auction. Donations include the chance to spend the day on the set of Reel Steel with Hugh Jackson this summer.

Christie’s Green Auction: A Bid to Save the Earth will take place on Earth Day, with an online silent auction at www.charitybuzz.com between April 8 and May 6.
