Hewlett-Packard has announced two changes in leadership in its enterprise sales, marketing and strategy areas.
David J Shirk has been appointed Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, HP Enterprise and Business, while Deborah Nelson will be Chief of Staff for the Enterprise Sales, Marketing and Strategy unit at HP.
They will both report to Thomas E Hogan, Executive Vice President of Enterprise Sales, Marketing and Strategy.
Shirk is newly joining HP from his position as Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications at electrical engineering giant Siemens. He has previously held leadership positions at UGS Corp, Vignette, Novell and Oracle.
“David brings a long track record of thought leadership and results. His broad experience across hardware, software and services will be instrumental in aligning HP’s marketing with the continued expansion in our enterprise portfolio,” said Hogan.
Meanwhile Nelson is moving on from her position as leader of HP Enterprise Business Marketing, and has held several other leadership positions at the company both regionally and internationally.
“Deborah has done an exemplary job the past five years leading a significant transformation in marketing. I look forward to her continued contributions as we partner to bring HP’s enterprise clients a new standard in service and value,” said Hogan.
