Yes, that’s right, the Chinese government has asked the stores to hide their illegal goods during the six-month event that begins 1 May.
According to the New York Times (NYT), almost all piracy shops have built a partition dividing the shop into an area that legal DVDs and another that sells illegal products. Customers are then directed towards a secret corridor with chants of “movie inside, movie inside,” says the NYT.
