New CFO at Media Sciences

Jun 7, 2010

Manginelli will be responsible for the company’s overall financial policies and all financial functions, including accounting, budgets, credits, insurance, tax, treasury, audit, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and SEC reporting.

Media Sciences says Manginelli will “lead all due diligence efforts” and play a significant role in acquisition integration activities. He is also responsible for human resources and information technology functions, as well as all corresponding personnel.

Manginelli brings over 25 years of financial leadership experience at manufacturing and distribution companies, both private and public.

Prior to joining Media Sciences, he was CFO for Niagara Conservation Corp, a Cedar Knolls, New Jersey manufacturer and distributor of water saving and energy efficient products from 2007 to January 2010.

Between 1995 and 2007, he served as Vice President of Finance and CFO of New Jersey-based Colavita, a leading importer and distributor of Italian foods.

Manginelli is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and of the New Jersey Society of CPAs.

He replaces Kevan Bloomgren, who resigned on 14 May, accepting a position at a larger company. Click here to read our coverage of the story.

Michael Levin, Media Sciences’ President and CEO, said: “John’s manufacturing experience is a great asset to Media Sciences. In particular, his recent experience at Niagara setting up a China-based manufacturing facility, including all of the related financial processes, policies and controls, is of unique value to Media Sciences as we move forward with the integration of Master Ink.”

Earlier this year, Media Sciences was told that it faced delisting from the NASDAQ. The company also acquired Master Ink Company in April.
