The expanded facility will become Nukote’s main manufacturing plant. Here, the firm will collect and process empty print cartridges, manufacture toner, remanufacture cartridges and distribute them to resellers nationwide.
Chairman John Rochon said that the development will allow the company to “serve customers more efficiently”.
He added that Nukote has reached an agreement with the United Steelworkers Union on a contract for the enlarged workforce.
Rochon said: “During the past six months we looked at lots of possible locations for our production center. In the end, we decided to come home to Pennsylvania. We have great respect for the loyalty and skill of the workers in Western Pennsylvania. It’s gratifying for us to be able to create jobs for men and women here in the United States.”
