The Cairo-based company has enjoyed strong growth in recent years, with a previous franchise expansion in Saudi Arabia, and another planned for Casablanca, in Morocco.
The 70 square meter Jordan branch began operations on 1 December 2010, and currently has seven staff remanufacturing both ink and toner cartridges.
Co-Founder Essam Hashem said that the new branch had so far been highly successful, thanks to efforts to provide products of “exceptional quality”.
He said Spear Ink has also been closely involved in e-waste management talks in Morocco, and in November 2010 participated in a sustainability conference with Egypt’s Ministry of Communication and Ministry of Environment.
Last year The Recycler reported how the company was honoured with a certificate from Egypt’s Minister of Labour for its efforts in recycling.
Since its foundation in Oman in 2005, Spear Ink has continued to expand in the Middle East, offering ink and toner refilling machines and equipment, cartridges and other supplies, as well as franchising and training opportunities.
