Kyocera Mita has announced profits of ¥305,321 million ($3.9 billion/ €2.73 billion) for the second quarter of 2011, down from ¥313,175 million ($4.03 billion/€2.82 billion) for the same period in 2010.
The company noted the aftermath of the Japanese earthquake as having a lingering effect on its operations, although it did note increases in the US and Europe as their economies continue to recover.
The OEM was also noted an increase in operating profit in its Information Equipment Group, thanks in part to the success of new printers released in Asia and Europe.
