ICRRA plans video promoting industry directly to consumers

Aug 11, 2011

The Indian Cartridge Remanufacturers and Recyclers Association is planning to produce a video to counter the low opinion of the aftermarket in India.

Executive Director Deepak Jalihal explained that he was inspired to produce a video for consumers after seeing a similar example at the GRIGA tradeshow.

“People are always talking about consumer awareness, and I think it’s high time we really got started on educating them about this industry,” he said.

“We want to produce something that really focuses on India in the local language and touring some of the new factories we have here.

“We need to show consumers that choosing remanufactured is the right thing to do and that we are a good industry full of good people.”

ICRRA is currently looking into partners to help produce and fund the project.

The move mirrors the association’s action to improve the knowledge and quality in the Indian industry with new practical training sessions. ICRRA recently announced success with the first gathering in Bangalore, and plans to host the monthly sessions in more locations around India due to popular demand. Sessions in Dehli have now been confirmed.
