The OEM has granted Sweden-based Handheld Group a license to relevant patents pertaining to the design of a handheld inkjet printer.
HP has announced a partnership with Sweden-based out-of-office applications specialist Handheld Group to develop inkjet-based mobile printing solutions, reports My Print Resource.
Handheld Group has been granted a license to relevant patents pertaining to the electrical, mechanical and system design of a handheld inkjet printer featuring wireless communication. The inkjet cartridges are speculated to include “a quick-drying, smudge-free magenta ink formulated specifically for high visibility on substrates used in the logistics industry”.

Handheld Group is the sole licensee of the printer design.
