OEM announces opening of new regional headquarter facilities at Mapletree Business City, Singapore.
Konica Minolta has announced the opening of its new regional headquarters in Singapore, which the company hopes will help it to double its revenue by 2016 across the South East Asia region.
Jun Haraguchi, Executive Director of Konica Minolta, opened the premises in a ceremony attended by EDB representatives, business partners, staff and the media just three months after its announcement as a regional headquarter.
The new facilities feature a Digital Imaging Square showroom and will house the company’s new Business Development, Regional and Corporate teams.
Commenting on the new regional headquarters, Ryo Maruhashi, Managing Director of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia said: “Today epitomises Konica Minolta’s goals to strengthen our foothold in Southeast Asia. […] The Business Development and Regional Operations teams are geared to help accelerate market penetration, and support our expansion in the Southeast Asia market.”
Haraguchi added that “the regional team will manage, supervise and support the sale subsidiaries and distributors in Southeast Asia” and that as a result “customers can expect faster turn-around response and value-added services.”
Meanwhile, Terence Gan, Deputy Director, Electronics, Singapore Economic Development Board spoke of the added value Konica Minolta’s headquarters are expected to bring to the area, stating: “This decision will add vibrancy to Singapore’s printing and imaging industry and it strengthens Singapore’s role as a business hub for companies looking to grow in emerging Asia.”
