Dr Sassan Dieter Khatib-Shahidi represents the manufacturer at the summit which hosted 100 leaders of the fastest growing companies.
UAE-based compatible toner cartridge manufacturer German Imaging Technologies Dubai (GIT Dubai) has announced its participation at the Harvard Leadership Summit, which saw 100 leaders of the fastest growing companies in the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and Turkey come together to discuss their methodology and success.
GIT Dubai CEO Dr Sassan Dieter Khatib-Shahidi represented the manufacturer at the summit which was organised by the AllWorld Network and the IFC, an arm of the World Bank, to discourse with academics, diplomats, support institutions and business leaders.
The three-day event was opened and hosted by Harvard President Drew Faust and Dean Mohsen Mostafavi.
Dr Khatib-Shahidi commented: “We wanted our story to be better known. Coming from a small start-up industry to be a number one producer of compatible toner cartridges in this region, and in the top 50 companies worldwide is an achievement we are very proud of. What’s more, we quickly became a member of the first ever Dubai SME Top 100, achieving 100 percent growth between 2008 and 2010, as well as becoming an Arabia 500 Fast Growth company in the same period.
“It’s this success that brought us to the Harvard Summit: for the opportunity to listen to the voice behind the success of these fast-track companies; to listen and to learn, as well as to put ourselves forward at an event that rewards success with some well-deserved publicity.”
Khatib-Shahidi also spoke on the global opportunities of attending the summit: “In emerging economies, public companies are comparatively well-known, but promising private companies are not. An AllWorld ranking puts us squarely on the world map, giving us the opportunity to showcase our success, as well as allowing us to attract the attention of new investors, customers, growth partners and talent.”
