Four new entry-level to mid-range laser and MFP printer models released by OEM.
Thinkdigit reports on Samsung’s latest products announcement of four new printers designed for small and medium businesses in India, which are said to focus on fast printing speeds and “enhanced quality at cost effective rates”.
Amongst the newly announced printers is the Samsung ML-2161/XIP, a new entry-level laser printer which features the Easy Eco Driver and Easy Print Manager for cost effective printing, enabling users to temporarily edit documents for printing to avoid printing unnecessary text or images. The printer is also equipped with Samsung’s one-touch Print Screen button for ease of use, and users can monitor and control other Samsung printers via a single screen.
In addition, the printer has a 150 A4 sheet capacity, 20ppm printing speed and is purportedly 22 percent smaller than other printers of its kind. It is priced at Rs. 5,999 ($108/€88).
Another product to be announced by Samsung is the SCX-3401/XIP entry-level MFP, which is emphasised as being eco-friendly as well as cost effective. An optional Eco-Mode can be activated to automatically save power, toner and paper consumption, and the Easy Eco Driver enables users to use toner and paper efficiently. Users can also monitor their CO2 emission using the Results Simulator, which informs them of the amount of electricity, paper and toner usage as well as the expected cost savings they could make by printing in an environmentally friendly way.
The printer can reach print speeds of 20ppm and is priced at Rs. 8,999 ($162/€132).
Two further products were also released by Samsung: the SCX-4021/XIP and the SCX-4321NS, both of which are described as mid-range MFPs “ideally suited for cost conscious users striving for low operating cost, while having the need for reliable performance”.
Featuring a Toner Save Mode, the printers enable users to use less toner on each page and extend toner cartridge yields “by up to 30 percent”. The SCX-4021 MFP has a 250 sheet capacity and print speeds of 24ppm, as well as being 23 percent smaller than other similar printers. It also features the Easy Document Creator application to allow users to scan and save documents in numerous formats and then share them through social media platforms such as Facebook.
The SCX-4021 is priced at Rs. 11,499 ($208/€169), while the SCX-4321NS is available for Rs. 13,499 ($244/€199).
