Minister of Interior and Kingdom Relations visits Van Klaveren

Minister Liesbeth Spies visits the Deventer-based cartridge collection company.

Van Klaveren ccc BV has celebrated a visit from the Minister of Interior and Kingdom Relations Liesbeth Spies to the Netherland cartridge collection company headquarters in Deventer.

Overijssel province is said to have been investing heavily in the efficient use of energy at home and work, capturing the attention of Minister Spies who subsequently visited the region to discuss issues and investments with citizens, managers and entrepreneurs, including Van Klaveren.

Spies was greeted by CEO Gerhard van Klaveren, who proceeded to give Spies a tour of the facilities, which was subject to an independent energy scan in 2010.

Van Klaveren spoke on the decision to undertake the scan, commenting: “Our natural resources are running out. Also, the use of natural gas and oil is bad for the environment. Consider the climate; it can be our downfall! Therefore we should invest in energy efficiency. Sustainability and environmental care are very important, both for me and our company. If we think about the environment, everyone can live a longer and healthier life.”
