Epson Thailand seeks 30 percent market share

OEM announces eight new large-format printers in bid to secure commercial and industrial print industry.

The Nation has reported on Epson Thailand’s announcement that it will be releasing three new wide-format models in the OEM’s bid to secure a 30 percent local market share.

Epson will release three new Epson SureColor S models “to support signage printing”, with three further models in the SureColor T series to suppose CAD/CAM. The OEM also announced the forthcoming release of the Epson SureLab SL-D3000 and SurePress L-4033AW.

The releases are expected to drive as much as 15 percent growth.

General Manager Yunyong Muneemongkoltom remarked that the printing industry in Thailand will continue to expand as the Asean Economy Community in 2015. Yungyong continues that the domestic market was valued in the region of $19,366,080 (€15,051,201), of which the OEM is targeting 30 percent for 2012.
