Color Group sees slight decrease in revenue, but increase in operating income and margin over 2011 results.
Sensient Technologies has reported increases across the board for Q3 2012, noting an increase in revenue, operating income and earnings per share, reports Ink World.
Revenue is stated to be $369.4 million (€285.7 million) for the quarter, seeing an increase from $363.8 million (€281.3 million) in Q3 2011. Operating income also increased from $49.9 million (€38.5 million) to $50.7 million (€39.2 million).
Sensient’s ink manufacturing division the Color Group also saw slight increases. Although revenue has shown a slight decline from $121 million (€93.59 million) to $120.7 million (€93.36) since Q3 2011, operating income and margins have both increased as the Group focuses on high value products.
Chairman and CEO of Sensient Technologies Kenneth P. Manning commented: “Sensient delivered another strong performance in the third quarter despite the difficult economic conditions. We continue to see opportunities for growth in all of our groups and I remain very optimistic about the company’s future.”
