President Joe Adachi donates $100,000 to non-profit disaster recovery programme.
Canon has announced that 
it has donated $100,000 (€78,536) to AmeriCares, a non-profit disaster recovery programme specialising in immediate response to emergency medical needs, following the impact of Hurricane Sandy.
The hurricane is marked as the largest Atlantic hurricane on record, and is the second-costliest hurricane surpassed only by Hurricane Katrina. The hurricane affected 24 states resulting in severe damage in New Jersey and New York.
