OEM adds to imaging portfolio with three new MFPs and five new single-function printers.
Daily Finance reports on the introduction of eight new Dell printers, designed to maximise productivity and increase efficiency in the workplace and enable users to manage print effectively.
The C1765nf/nfw, B3465dnf and B5465dnf MFPs from Dell are designed for home and small offices as well as medium businesses and large enterprise workgroups, offering “robust connectivity options and efficient document management” as well as “built-in security and management tools, high monthly duty cycles and easy-to-use device solution applications for office productivity”.
The devices are designed to make digital document management easier for businesses, with Lee Hui Li, General Manager, Global Imaging and Executive Director of Dell Software and Peripherals commenting: “Dell recognizes the vital role of multifunction printers in today’s evolving workplace, enabling businesses to do more beyond printing […] we view printers as tools not only for printing, but as part of a broader end point device ecosystem that supports the creation, consumption and integration of digital data and information with electronic workflows and application systems that support an evolving and collaborative workforce.”
Dell’s five new single-function printers have been designed to improve ease-of-use, with the two colour printers – the C1660w and C1760nw being marketed at small and home offices as well as remote workers. Both devices are WiFi enabled and are reported to boast “fast print speeds and low maintenance”. Meanwhile, the B2360d/dn, B3460dn and B5460dn monochrome printers have been designed with medium-sized businesses and distributed workgroups in mind, with “easy-to-implement security features” as well as “fast performance, robust paper handling and gigabit network connectivity”.
The new printers from Dell are available worldwide today, with the exception of the B5465dnf MFP which will only be available in the Americas and Europe from January 2013. The prices differ for each device. For the MFPs, the C1765nf/nfw is priced at $369/399 (€290/313), the B3465dnf at $1,399 (€1,099) and B5465dnf at $3,609 (€2,836); while the prices of the single function printers range from $199 (€156) for the C1660w to $1,319 (€1,036) for the B460dn.
