Nov 22, 2012

The laser printer parts manufacturer will be hosting courses in California and New Jersey early next year.

The printer service training and certification courses are aimed at the repair and servicing of HP laser printers, and will count towards the company’s factory certification training as well. The courses have a maximum number of eight places available, and take place in Santa Ana, California on January 7 to 11 and Roselle, New Jersey on February 11 to 15 2013.

The company notes that its training sessions are “a compilation of collaborative disciplines, parts theory, service management and general printer repair” that aim to provide students with “hands-on, real-life scenarios challenging them to repair everything possible for each technology element”.

The five day courses break down work on a series of HP devices, with the Monday looking at HP’s 4200, 4300, 4250 and 4350 machines. The Tuesday is devoted to colour theory and troubleshooting, whilst Wednesday looks at the OEM’s 4600, 4650 and 5500 machines. Thursday sees a study of the 9000 and 9050 printers and the final day of the week looks at a wide range of machines including the 4014, 4015, 4515, M600, M601, M602 and M603.

Among those Metrofuser states should attend are entry-level technicians, help desk personnel, government technicians, repair or call centre personnel, hardware manufacturer technicians, copier technicians and sales and customer service personnel.

The company added of the sessions: “Metrofuser’s ServicePlus Training will provide technicians with all of the comprehensive skills needed by a novice and will prove to be more than sufficient for the industry expert looking to get certified.”
