US remanufacturing firm Clover Holdings confirms the acquisition of Germany-based toner remanufacturer Dematec.
Dematec, headquartered in Ötisheim, Germany, is the market leader in producing alternative Kyocera product for the laser printer industry.
No details of the acquisition have been announced, but Clover sent out an email this week to set up meetings at the upcoming Remanexpo/Paperworld show using the Dematec booth as their base, along with TRS Europe, another Clover subsidiary.
Clover’s Director of Marketing Celine Coleman said: “There is no official press release as such, though we will have some info on it available at Paperworld.”
Clover has acquired a large number of aftermarket businesses including collectors, brokers and remanufacturers in the past few years, including previously mentioned TRS Europe, OPRA and Pinpoint LLC amongst others. The company also settled its legal battle with Canon over patent infringing toner cartridge gears in late 2012.
