Aftermarket tradeshow to be replaced by new event focusing on MPS and business workflow.
The 1105 Media Office Technology Group has announced that the Business Imaging Expo event will take place in December 2013, replacing the company’s previous annual aftermarket trade show, World Expo.
The new Business Imaging Expo show will take place in Las Vegas on 11 and 12 December, preceded by two separate full-day conferences on the 10 December, one of which will be presented by the company’s Workflow magazine and feature a line-up of speakers focusing on targets surrounding business process optimisation, enterprise content management and similar topics; and the other presented by The Imaging Channel magazine, which will focus on managed print and related topics.
The trade show itself will feature vendors in the business imaging industry, with education sessions also included.
Commenting on the event, Patricia Ames, Group Publisher at the company, said: “The office technology industry is changing rapidly. Printed pages are shifting to mobile devices, printers are increasingly becoming part of the larger managed information technology programmes at small and large businesses, and sellers and consumers of related devices are looking for ways to streamline their processes. Business Imaging Expo recognizes these shifts and creates a centralized resource for all facets of the industry.”
For over 15 years, World Expo has been the 1105 Media Technology Group’s annual trade show for the aftermarket, with last year’s event taking place in July along with the Imaging Channel’s Managed Print Summit. Among the topics covered at 2012’s World Expo were MPS, business management and cartridge technologies, as well as the exhibition of new products and services by companies in the industry.
