Printers designed to meet the needs of SOHO and SME environments.
Kyocera Document Solutions UK Limited has announced that it has launched a new range of printers and MFPs, describing the five devices as very user friendly, compact and highly-economical and specifically designed for use in SOHO and SME environments.
The printer range, which includes the FS-1041, FS-1061DN, FS-1220MFP, FS-1320MFP and FS-1325MFP, is said to be the first to market to feature a Quiet Mode button, with the FS-1041 and FS-1061 boasting a simple control panel with just three buttons – Start, Stop and Quiet, and the driver’s straightforward interface allowing direct access to basic settings such as orientation and duplex printing. Kyocera’s Client Tool also enables users to check toner levels and view or edit a print job’s status.
All of the printers are claimed to have a very small carbon footprint, low purchase price and the lowest cost per page in their class, as well as a durable print drum able to produce up to 100,000 prints. The toner is able to be replaced easily, which the company states will eliminate the need for cartridge exchange and will reduce the environmental impact.
Steve Mitchell, Group Product Marketing Manager at Kyocera, said: “This entry-level range is something of a departure for KYOCERA and lets us bring our exceptionally low printing costs to SMEs, SOHOs and the homeworker environment where reliability and performance is a prerequisite and space is at a premium. Developed to meet the needs of customers who want affordable laser printers which are both unobtrusive and intuitive to use, this new monochrome range offers quality black and white laser printing at up to 25ppm and reduced running costs at a very economical price. Each device offers great value for money, which is ideal in the current climate.”
